HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
EICO is committed to not only a clean, healthy and safe work environment by preventing accidental loss of any of our resources i.e. employees and physical assets but also an ecologically sustainable environment. EICO has established the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policy with the aim to provide a framework for establishing and reviewing HSE objectives which are appropriate to the purpose of EICO. This policy also obligates EICO to BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001-2015 through a statement that EICO is fully committed for compliance with the requirements laid down under aforementioned standards; and will improve the effectiveness of our HSE Management System. This HSE obligation is the responsibility of managers, supervisors and employees at every level off the company and will be achieved through the following key objectives:
- Comply with the requirements of all applicable laws, regulations and standards
- Ensure management are actively involved and provides the demonstrated leadership to support continuous improvement in HSE performance.
- Communicate and consult with all stakeholders, to increase their awareness of their HSE obligations and responsibilities.
- Strive to continuously improve our HSE management system and practice through a process of auditing, review and revision.
- Investigate and ensure a prompt response to all work-related HSE incidents and develop corrective action to prevent recurrence.
- Adopt the best available practices to minimize the probability of hazardous events at site and support our customers and suppliers to also practice the same.
- Seek to prevent pollution before it produced, reduce the amount of waste at our sites and support pollution prevention by our customers and suppliers and adopt means for conservation of resources i.e. water and energy.
